This was Macey’s third AB of the game. She had our only hit of the game her previous time up, the single to left in the previous video. That came off the New Hope pitcher’s above average fastball. In this AB she comes change up twice in the first two pitches. Macey, looking fastball takes one for a strike and then is way out in front to foul strike two off. Then she gets the fastball away on the 0-2 pitch and drives it to the gap in right-center.
I love the sprint around first with the dirt flying on each footstep. And then I really love her trademark pop-up slide into second. I will miss it.
